Dallas , 22LR precision league

I registered, can’t wait, and just curious on the March date can you register for more than one match? I couldn’t figure out how to get back to the page where you selected the match date..

looks good and from reading the texashunting forum you have a lot of hard work invested into this match! Thanks for setting it all up!

Thank you. And yes you should be able to register for more than one match I would have to talk to my tech Guy I'm not positive of the answer of how to do it at this moment. You might have to open up practice score again and then they may give you the option then

Wow, I wish we had this type of response in my area. I posted a link to a regional 200 meter rimfire benchrest silhouette match and got zero response. You guys are lucky...[/QUOTE

I bet you there's guys out there you just have to figure out how to find them. Most benchrest guys do not like to shoot this type of format. Try putting it on some PRS sites or tactical match sites.
also you can try Facebook

Lol. Thanks but I do not now, nor will I personally ever do Farcebook. . .

I think the club officers are talking about it though so they probably will.

I only use Facebook for things like this otherwise I have no use for it. Believe it or not I got quite a few hits from Facebook

All our shoots are now on FB, it's the easiest way of quickly getting info out there..Mule put up his FB on mine page and all the Dallas guys jumped on...We have 700 members from all over Texas and other states. It has really helped our club a ton. Lot of our local members made FB pages just for shooting stuff and some only 10 or 12 friends on their page.

I believe it. I just want nothing to do with it. Like I said though. The guys who run the club are looking into it and I think they’re gonna go with it. Probably what’s needed. I was just speaking for me personally.

Glad to hear you guys are having success. We need more participation in the shooting sports. Too many kids on IPhones and video games...

a range day for registered shooters to come out and get dope on their gun and a feel for the range . On February 8th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. $10 per shooter kids are free. On website . Please notify us ahead of time.

Got the scope set at 50yards, but it was really windy today. I still managed to get 3x potential ammo choices to try next time at 100yards:

LOL, if only the idiot pulling the trigger were any good ;)

Look forward to trying again at 100 yards to see what is the ammo preference. My local range only goes to 100 yards, so it is pretty trippy to even think at 200 yards, which I have never tried before.

Found this site with the approx dope for 50-400 yards for 40gr/1050fps match ammo:

Of course I understand I need to develop the dope for "my" rifle/scope, but it is neat to have a starting point. So much to learn :D

I shot the 200 meter Rimfire Benchrest match at Fort Bliss Rod and Gun Club yesterday and today. What a blast! Great folks there, very welcoming. And the match winners get prizes. I’ll be going back to that one even though it’s a bit further for me. Haven’t had such a good time in a long time.

It's really not that hard to hit the target at 200 yards. Wind will be your major player. Once you get your dope it's not too bad. Hopefully you can make it out to our range day and we will definitely be able to get you on at 200 yards. Unless the wind is gusting and then none of us may touch it. Lol. On a clear crisp day you can see the bullet traveling down there. You will see it leave your scope and then come back into it down by the Target.

We sort-of have this going at our local club but its not an ideal competition and dragging in too much drama which is why I gave it up. They call our matches "rimfire" instead of "22LR" and that opened the door for the 17HMR's and the 17WSM and those guys are killing the 22LR at 100 yards. A few of us mentioned splitting the competition up in to groups and those guys threw a fit claiming its a "rimfire" match and anything goes, because they are the ones winning every time. Not really apples to apples....

That is a shame. We were worried about that that's why we said this is a 22LR league. If there's enough interest we will do a 17 rimfire league separate.

That's a good idea keeping them split up. If your going to have a match based on a shooters skill you should not have a few shooters with a caliber "edge" over the other shooters.
