I have chance to purchase a Dakota predator 223rem at a great price I think
Any body have any experience with these
Accuracy? Quality?

To me these are kind of a hidden gem, plagued by poor marketing. Company is now Parkwest Arms operating out of same facilities that Dakota/Nesika/Remington. These rifles are built to essentially the same standard as a first class custom and the single shot SS actions are a real jewel, and will take a Jewell or any other Remington trigger. Barrels are Douglas Premium and usually give excellent accuracy. Don't think you will be disappointed.

Does anyone make scope base for it other then the tally that come on them ?

I am a big fan of Burris Signature rings so use a Weaver style set of bases. Have had great success using the Burris Xtreme Tactical bases for Savage short & long w/round rear then carefully drill them out for the 8-40 screws to fit These bases are steel but machine very easily. Screws are usually more of a problem than bases but you can probably get everything you need from Brownell's. If you have problems with this shoot me a PM and we'll get it worked out for you.

So savage round receiver bases fit Dakota predator?

I’ve got a 20 Vartarg and a 6 BR in Dakota Predators and would buy them again if available. Super accurate, metal to wood is tight and made to bench rest standards all around. Buy it. This is the 6 BR. Bought it off this site. Prairie dog shooting. The Vartarg gets most of the shooting until wind comes up, then the BR comes out.93DB7F1B-F082-4CFE-B32C-CDEFB5DBD096.jpeg

Very nice
What scope is that ?

I can’t remember. If I remember at all it was something I was testing. I think it was a cheap 30mm side focus. Must not have been very good Cause I can’t remember it. I do remember where the picture was taken. Convergence of 3 dog towns. One of my favorite areas.

I may be wrong but it seems to me that Dan Lilja worked with them early on as far as the unique barrel profile.I think some of the early models had Lilja barrels.
We got to shoot them in South Dakota at the VHA jamboree a while back. Not a fan of the management of that company but you can not take away the fact that they produced a beautiful rifle.

Do you remember what trigger came in your Dakota?

Most of them come with the Rem X-mark trigger with an option to upgrade to a Jewell. Some of the earlier rifles came with Rifle Basix triggers. If it is a black trigger it is probably the Remington.

I think this one was originally mine, I sold it to a buddy on this site and he sold it again after some time.

I wish I`d never sold it but I was faced with a health issue and it just didn`t make any sense to keep it at that time.

They are gem`s

Pick it up today, might not keep it to pretty too shoot
