I had a similar experience with my Varminter with 40X trigger. With some trial and error I got it adjusted so that it no longer occurs. Plan to replace with a Jewell from Larry. Good luck with yours.

I have decided to purchase a NIB Varminter in 6mmBR.

Do these rifles take Remington 700-type triggers or is there a model made just for these rifles?

Now that you have had it for a while, how does it shoot? Is yours the light or heavy version? Sorry to bring back the zombie thread, but I’m too curious to leave it alone.
