Dahlonega Armory experience

I had a revolver on notification from this company when it was back in stock. The minute I got notified it was in stock ( I was reading my mail when the notice came in) I immediately ordered it. About an hour later I got a notice that my order was cancelled and my payment was refunded because it was out of stock. It seems very strange to me since I was pretty fast on the purchase. Has anyone else had problems with this merchant. I ask because I don't want to waste my time in the future asking for a notification and getting shut out.

This is common with email notification systems and with in stock items right now.

probably 200 people saw that listing in stock before that email got to you, much less all the other people that were notified at the same time and had a faster trigger finger. You bought it before their software was able to update to out of stock, but not before they ran out.

You just got beat to it, it sucks but it happens.

Sounds about right. What threw me off was that on other sites, if someone beats you to it, you don't ever make it to the check out part let alone get told an hour later!

The way stuff is flying off the shelves right now, I'm surprised outfits are actually updating websites with in-stock stuff. It's going to be be sold while the site is being updated (much less by when the site gets published to the world) anyway...

If the site has real time inventory, the inventory is automatically updated when the product is put into stock - and decremented as orders are received.

Happens to me all the time, 10,000 Lg. rifle primers went POOF right before my eyes yesterday.

Went through it with Hogdgens a few weeks back . And it turned out to be a mistake in the inventory of the warehouse , because the receiving clerk entered the wrong powder into inventory . Sale cancelled , full and complete refund . And a nice e-mail from a sales exec person . Stuff happens , with all the suppliers , and all of us , at some point in time . We just keep trying to get the items we need , to keep us in reasonable supply till it gets better , again . Another 1,000 primers ; and 500 Berger Jugg Target 185's , and I'm a happy Camper .
