Zil. l bought my 457 Varmint from Midway last month. l scoped mine with a Leupold VXIII 3.5-10X40 w/Duplex reticle, Warne QR rings. l had a chance to shoot mine today @25yds lndoors, CCI 40gr.

Outa stock now. I'll keep looking
well my tight bore cz with stuck cleaning rod. when got it out .I took the barrel out of the action
and lapped it .don't know if it help it . but i had few marks from the cleaning rod.
so put it back together and went to the range .first trip was just ok. but it still out shot the test target.
with sk +. tried cci sv . cci grouped about 3/4 @50yds.
i went back the next day it was cold so I had to put my ammo in my bid's to keep them warm.
and I shot 4 group's at 50yds .from low .3's to a high .4's and one at 100yds at .835 .
but best thing i found is .that i can shoot this rifle off hand . I guess the short barrel i'm kind'a old
left arm doesn't work great. but it's still the best done in a while .as soon as i recover from knee
surgery. i'll work it out .and see if this will hold up.

I didn't save my CZ 457 Varmint test target, but I remember it was fired with RWS R-50 at 50 meters and was very small. I have subsequently fired many small groups at 50 and 100 yards using the same brand of amo from the bench and one 100 yd. group I doubt I will ever equal.
