CZ457 Target

A good friend sent his CZ457 to John Langley to chamber and install a Shilen match grade Ratchet barrel, not a select match and fit his Ezell tuner. Gerald did his own trigger work while hopefully waiting on a BScar trigger.

I just ordered a Shillen Ratchet today as Killough’s just got them back in stock. I asked John if he had rebarreled any 457’s yet when I picked up my Turbo recently. Of course he had. Looks like he’ll be doing another. I already have the Bscar.

He told me that a year or so ago the first time I met him. I’ve been back a few times since. I still have several things I need him to do. I’m going to get as much as I can done by him before he retires. When I picked up my last build I mentioned that I had a couple rifles that I had meant to bring with me to drop off, but forgot them. He said I’m covered up right now anyway”.

Butch, what kind of price difference is there between the two? The only ones Killough offers are Select Match at 299.00

The 5 contour listed is is a Ratchet....

Gerald's barrel is a .920 straight contour. I didn't check the difference in price. I've had that blank for a while and would have to go to Shilen's site to check the prices. I didn't buy it from Dan, so I can't refer to him. I buy from Shilen direct.

Joe Chacon just rebarreled a 457 for me. He used a Shilen ratchet .850 and one of his tuners. Only shot it once has about 60 rds through it. I think it’s gonna be a great shooter.
