I do care about looks, and so a lot of other 455 owners. That pot metal high-school shop class trigger guard should never have gone on the gun.
"the bottom metal is now sculpted and sleek, metalwork is finished in nitride to give it the look of a quality blue with the corrosion resistance of stainless"
CZ heard the complaints, and looks to be working the issue. Be nice if the 457 guard fits the 455, and they don't charge the $135 DIP does.
The 455 TG is not pot metal. It's stamped steel, which is probably even cheaper. I agree that it looks cheesy on an otherwise handsome rifle. (Well, almost. The trigger is ugly too. Looks like it came off an old P14 Enfield.). I have 4 CZ rimfires, 2 452's and 2 455's. They all have the same butt-ugly trigger & trigger guard. They do shoot well, though!
