looking for an easy none damaging way to remove the recoil pad

We have not pulled one off yet --we have 4 MTR's - guessing they could be glued like a lot these days so I did add a standard slip on recoil pad to gain some length of pull--to cover the edge ( and the somewhat sticky) rubber_ I wrapped it in "horse tape" --that is the crepe style self sticking vet wrap they use for horse legs available at most any Tractor Supply--while at it I added a piece of yoga mat for a cheek riser--all wrapped up neat with the tape--That tape does not discolor the wood and is easy to replace and fresh up if needed--so the tape is a little "grabby" so we took long mens elastic socks--sewed up one end and made a sleeve to cover the entire show--That has worked out really well for everything--and can be removed in a second
It is not the best looking answer but I have added the much needed length--gained the cheek pad all for under $30 with no permanent mods to the rifle The sock works very well in the rear bag as well You can add layers of a thin yoga mat to get the height you need--very easy to adjust and get right for your needs and..ARA legal

Not trolling you here, but it's easy to see you are not a big fan of beautiful wood. Nice collection of ribbons though.

Dumb question, why do you want to remove it? I considered removing mine so I could refinish the stock. But I found it was totally unnecessary to remove it to refinish my stock.

Makes a great shooting mat too...the mrs. used to have 2, 1 of them is now range gear

to add weight to the back end for better balance front is heavier now
if i remove it i will just make a brass plate and buff it out
