CZ vs Savage/Anschutz

I ended up buying a CZ452, I am a lefty. I have a $1000 into the stock and action. I figured a Anchuntz 54 ? and a Manners T4A would have run me almost $2500. I have a couple things to finish on the 452 but its almost there, I have been pretty happy with it. I am using mine as a PRS and Varmint silhouette trainer.

For what it's worth, I have been shooting an Anschutz 64MPR in local competitions (in the recent past) down here in So Cal. And I've shot against folks using those rifles you listed and even a few Anschutz 54 actioned rifles as well as custom rigs and have out shot them as well. My 64MPR is 4 years old now, still has the original Anschutz barrel and cost me $1143 new. Now I do have a Leupold 35X atop her which cost just short of $1K. And I do have a Harrel Tuner on her and the rifle is otherwise completely "stock" as it was when it came out of the box. And after testing all brands of top quality Match ammo, I found Federal Ultra March UM22 shot the best (in the low 1's and 2's @ 50yds when I do my part), tightest and most consistent groups at 50 yds. I was using Lapua CenterX and Lapua Midas+ for practice and even those gave me very acceptable groups. I have since quit competing, but the rifle still shoots nice tight groups when I do my part. SO I guess it's relative in what you are seeking to accomplish. But you might consider a 64MPR and then find the ammo your particular rifle likes the best. And I can categorically add that regardless of what rifle you decide on, you need to find what ammo she performs best with.

I have several Anschutz including 54 and 64 and S/A Mark 10B. The 10B is an honest 1 moa shooter and came with a descent trigger (sorry I forget the pull) and anschutz aperture sights. The 54 sights are better, the action is no comparison. But I dont see the quality or feature issue comparing the 10B to a new 64 based 1416HB. I just finished mounting the 10B barrel action into a 1416HB take off stock. The screws, trigger, bolt handle and two mounting screws all line up perfect. The new 64 is slightly larger diameter, but that is a recent change. I had to bed the 10B to take up the space. In addition the old 10B is about 1/4 inch shorter behind the bolt and that leaves a gap that needed to be filled. The 10B is a solid bar stock action with no cutout for a magazine. It looks very rigid. Not a 54, but I dont see what it gives up to any older 64 even at the new 26mm diameter, most 64s have the big cut out for the magazine. The 10B is solid. The new triggers are better. I did not experiment to see if I could swap triggers it might be? There seems to be enough threaded holes. The bolts sure look the same on my new 1416 and old 10B. Did I miss something? It is all put away right now.
I think the 10A,B,C are the deal of the day for value in used guns. Based on mine and talk about others the barrels are excellent. The Kimber will be a gamble on the barrel. I would have tested that gun first. Then any used gun is a gamble. I hope you got a good one.

Please just remember, buying used is always a craps shoot. You may be getting someone else's problem. If you are set on used, make sure you can both completely inspect and shoot it before plunking down money. It is like sticking your had into a bag of snakes. Maybe you will get bitten and maybe you won't.
