Cz small caliber?

I am looking for a 17,20 or 22 caliber non heavyweight barrel rifle and have seen cz online but not in person and would like some input on them or perhaps something else?

I have had four,17 Remington,17 Hornet,204 Ruger and a 22 Hornet.
The 17 Remington and 204 shot well. The 22Hornet had 1-16” twist. Some claim theirs will shoot other than Hornet type bullets. Mine would keyhole at 50.
I still have the 17 Hornet. For some reason I am a sucker for a problem child. Feed issues at times. Shoot exceptionally well one day and totally awful the next. A work in progress sorting it out.

Bolts on all I owned were not what one would call slick. Best way was to push it closed with your thumb.

I bought two of the Howa minis for the price of one 527. I will admit to having spent some more money on them and that put me at a price point right at the CZ. I did that only after the rifles showing as good or better results than the CZ. 222,223 and 6.5 Grendel. The 223 Howa had a pencil barrel. Extended shooting sessions it would heat up and vertical string. Did a barrel swap to 22 Nosler and put it in a chassis. The Grendel got a B&C stock. The 222 got a Boyd pro varmint.

I have 527’s in both .17 Hornet and .221 Fireball. I’ve had the Fireball rifle for 10-15 years and no problems with it. I’ve had the Hornet for 6-8 years and again no problems. The Hornet is the 527 Varmint with a heavy barrel. It is very accurate and very fun to shoot at prairie dogs. I’ve used the Fireball as a walking varmint rifle for calling coyotes. I think it is perfect for that. I have replaced the factory set trigger on both rifles. I do not like the reverse safety on the 527’s but have gotten used to it. I would easily buy another 527 if I had the need for one.

I have the Hornet 527. Shoots 35 gr bullets like a lazer. Larger bullets not so much. Came with a set trigger. I was supprised. As mentioned above, the bolts need to be a bit smoother.
