CZ 550 FS in 9.3x62. This cartridge is popular in Europe and Africa for hunting large animals. It has been gaining popularity in in the US for Elk, Moose and Bear. Some people even use it for deer hunting. Very comparable to a 375 H&H Magnum or at least that is what it is often compared to. The rifle probably has roughly 30 rounds down the tube and has been sitting in my safe for years since I don't hunt much anymore and have never had this in the field. It is in new condition. Also comes with a very nice sling made of some exotic African hide (I forget which one) and a 1-4 Leupold scope. That's about all the scope you'd want on this gun and is a perfect match. Comes with original box and papers. Also comes with 6 20 round boxes of PPU 285 grain ammo. The 550 also has a single set trigger. This one is a good deal since a 30-06 version of this rifle just sold for almost 1900 bucks on Gun Broker without the scope, sling or ammo.

Sweet little carbine. Otto Bock is generqlly credited with its' invention about 1905. The Boer farmers in South Africa did not want to pay Magnum Mauser 375 H&H prices to shoot Cape Buffalo out of their fields.
This was their option, and it worked very well. Even today, where most African countries require a 375 for dangerous game, this cartridge is also legal. My second trip to Africa my PH carried one as back up, and said he never felt undergunned for Leopard or Lion. I have this one's cousin out in my gunroom today.
Think one step up from the 35 Whelen.
