Looking hard at trying out the 6.5 Grendel cartridge in a CZ 527.
There are at least 3 different CZ 527 rifle models in 6.5 Grendel on offer, starting at just over $500 (I have four other CZ 527 rifles and rather like them). I've got several other 6.5mm bore rifles also, a couple in 6.5x55 Swede and a 6.5-284 NORMA I load for, so plenty of components on hand.
Anyone with first hand experience with this cartridge in a CZ? A while back, some were re-barreling the CZ 527 carbine from 7.62x39 to the 6.5 Grendel to have this combination, they mostly seemed pleased with their results. But how did the factory do with their ready made version?
If you got one and load for it, what has worked?
Plenty of people have hunted deer with the Grendel from AR rifles, I would want to try this. I have really liked the results on deer of the Barnes 6.5mm 120gr TTSX from the 6.5-284 and the 6.5 Swede, anyone loaded that projectile for Grendel with good results on deer or are velocities a bit low to expand this bullet properly?
