Howdy all,
Well I picked up a 457 mtr and a Bushnell match pro ED with 56mm obj. What scope base and ring/ ring height do y’all recommend??
And then Timney trigger or YoDave kit?
Thx

Area 419 rail or a similar design that clamps into the grooves. Those that set a secret vertically into the CZ receiver dimples tend to loosen over time, I have three of them in my junk box, so it from experience.

I have used both the Timney and Jard triggers and prefer the Jard. I see that makes a SIDHE CZ trigger is you want the be$t.

IMO there is no better scope base for the 457 than the Area419 (my preference is 30MOA with bubble level). The last 457 I owned had the Timney and I was completely satisfied with it.

Think the rail I grabbed was an EGW, zero angle, used the Burris XTR Signature rings, the med height ones, that was too high for my liking, cheekpiece wasn't able to get high enough. 30mm tube w/50mm objective, had a solid 1/2" clearance off the bbl @ 30deg. I see Burris makes a low set now, didn't exist at the time I got the gun. I liked the XTR rings as it gave me lots of choice on the angle. I did end up changing the Boyd's AT-one stock out for an MDT Field stock, which cured all the fit and height issues I had, can use any ring & rail combo I want now.. Buying ND mags cured the feed issue I had with CZ mags too.

I have the EGW rail on my 457MTR with Vortex rings to mount a Vortex PST GII 5-25X50. The rail and medium rings got me plenty of height, perhaps too high because I had to put a cheekpiece on the stock. Hindsight says I should have given more thought to dovetail rings instead of the rail to maybe not need the cheekpiece.

I just went with the 8 oz spring from CZ. It works just fine.

Area 419 30 MOA base and Warne mountain tech lows clear my Venom with a 34mm tube/56 objective.

Watch out for the scope rail coming loose, and sliding or vibrating. Especially using a heavy "tactical" scope. I just reattached mine using Loctite between the base and the rifle, if that doesn't hold a followup with JB Weld will.

dusterdave post #10 nailed it!

DIP rail with blue loctite, 30mm Burris signature rings medium. skip the Timney and get a Jard!
