CZ 457 MTR- tuning dilemmas

I recently bought a CZ MTR and started with trigger tuning. Went down to 15 oz. which is satisfactory to me. This whole system including rifle scope is recoilless. Is it ready for competition in your view or should I eg. drop it into MDT Oryx chassis? I am testing currently different ammo- Eley and Lapua. The rifle will be used at club level for benchrest matches. What should I consider in terms of tuning?

The factory stock will be fine, since recoil is virtually nonexistent. As far as money spent, the YoDave trigger spring and firing pin spring are the best places to improve. I would also look at a barrel before replacing the stock in terms of performance. If your local rules/clubs allow, this will also let you thread for a barrel tuner.

My factory MTR shoots very well, but is very sensitive to cleaning. I don’t shoot BR, only some practical .22lr matches, but accuracy wise I have never felt like it leaves anything to the Vudoos, RimXs, Lilja-barreled CZs, etc. The BR scene probably requires more extreme precision than my needs, but I don’t feel the need to pay-to-play with the big boys.

You have a very competitive rifle. The most important thing to do now is test ammo to find exactly what your rifle likes. I have tested over 20 different bullets and for me the most accurate is Wolf target match. But don't bank the farm on it for your use. Have fun and enjoy.

By the way, you can usually find what you need as far as ammo is concerned here.

Our local RF-BR matches both 50 yd. and 100 yd. require factory barrels and triggers, but allow trigger tuning. My CZ 457 with a sear adjustment and YoDave spring has about a 12-14 oz. pull. I am competitive in the Factory Class, but the Target Rifles, Anchutz Vodo, Kimber, Win.52 etc. are significantly more accurate at both ranges. Still I did have one target that I managed to shoot with my rifle at 100 yds. that has never been beaten. Sadly the lot of that ammunition is all gone and I haven't found it's equal yet My CZ shoots RWS R-50 best at 100yda. but at 50 yds. it scores better with Lapua Midas+.

I am not going to buy anschutz. I was thinking barrel replacement as most advanced tuning scenario. The problem is that the only company importing lilja barrels to Europe is Blinken in Switzerland and he won't sell you a solo barrel since he is putting them in his own rifles.
The only real barrel replacement option in Europe is lothar walther but I am not totally convinced whether walther barrel would be more accurate than the factory CZ.

Does that MTR stock have metal pillars? If not, I would put them in before I spent the money for a whole new chassis. It's easy and cheap. You will be able to get more consistent action screw torque.

Mine is stock. Trigger is set just a hair over 2 pounds. Mine has shot every ammo i have tried accurately enough to shoot high scores and competitive scores on ARA factory and unlimited targets at my club level. My barrel scopes pretty good at chamber and leade. my crown visually is not cut clean chatter and machine marks rifle seems to not care so i wont touch it.
