CZ 457 Aluminum Magwells

I’m working on my first PRS CZ 457 build and have heard that the stock plastic magwell is prone to cracking. I see DIP, L3i, and Position 7 all make aluminum replacements, but have not had a chance to see any of them in person. The prices vary considerably from one to the next but none of them are really out of my budget. So, I’d like to hear from some of you who have had a chance to compare them in person. Is one really better than the others?

I recently replaced the mag well on my 15 year old 452 with the DIP aluminum piece. It seems like a nice upgrade, but honestly the plastic one was fine. I can’t imagine it breaking unless you are constantly taking it off and on for some reason.

I said that until I broke one. Just bump the mag into something with your magazine inserted and it breaks into with a nice little crack sound. Doesn't take much to lever the magwell and break it. Done for the day...
