CVA Scout 45-70

Can't tell you what your action is good for. I have 3 45/70's, a 1895 that I've had since 1976, a Henry Yellow Boy, and a BFR with a 10-1/2" barrel. I shoot a 300 grn jhp over 60 grains of H-4198 in my 1895. At 15' it averaged 2488 fps. The BFR is my everyday carry and I ve taken 7 coyotes with it, it's incredibly accurate.

How long is that barrel? Thats almost as fast as my 458 win mag 20”. I needed 68 gr to get 2500. Sounds way hot for a 1895
