Cutting the cord

Going with a Scott Parker tuned Redding 2 beam scale. Just tired of cords, minor drift, lifting pan etc etc ect. If you use a beam scale please show me your set up. I know I could solve most of those problems with an fx120i with all the bells and whistles. Not interested in spending that kind of money.
Thanks Bill

Cant post pix but nuttin to see, really.
I have a counter height bench top close behind the press table. Probably 40 + inches hgt. I'm in a low back swivel office chair. I handily swivel from one side to the other while things "settle".
The Park'd 10-10 is abt head high, resting on a very small slab of 3/4" countertop quartz. If I weren't on a concrete floor, I would put the quartz slab on a pc of medium density rubber. Not horse mat or shop type - something a bit more more spongy.
My high bench is pretty well level..... Front to Back as well as L/R.
I do not but some will put a needle as a pointer on the beam. I wish my overall shooting and reloading skills necessitated that. One less thing for me to monkey with - HA!

I use an old two level computer desk (the kind where the monitor was on the upper level), my 505 sits on a block of 2x6, and use a cheapo 10" tablet with camera focused on the scales' pointer. The tablet is in a desktop letter sorter, and weighted down with a $5 box of ammo. I use a small office chair, no arms on it but is adjustable in height. The lower surface is large enough for me to have the powder and loading block with primed cases on the lower level w/o crowding anything (no spills yet). The tablet is easy for me see and read the pointer when trickling up to the desired powder charge. I can then just turn 180* to seat the bullets and then head for the range.

My new set up, Parker tuned Lyman 2, Dandy trickler. Smart phone with magnifying app so it does not time out. Borrowed wifes small picture stand, on top of a box of 44 mag bullets to stand up the phone. On the left, out of picture is a Lee powder thrower. Works well, even seems a little faster then the Pact scale and dispencer and trickling on my gempro. No drift!! Showing 40.9 gr 4350!
Thanks Bill

My Ohaus 10 10, close to 50 years of use finally gave out on me last year. Wouldn't hold zero and was constantly sticking despite cleaning the knife edges and anvils.

I purchased a Lyman Brass Smith 500 at Midway for about $85. I've been quite pleased with it. It holds zero and accuracy - I check regularly with RCBS deluxe calibration weights.

I set my RCBS Powder Measure a few 10's grain light then trickle in the last few 10's with a Redding Trickler.

Good looking setup. You out did me on the trickler, I just use a "shot" glass and treat like a salt shaker, it works for me.[/QUOTE
Thank you, I like the dandy trickler a lot. I can watch the kernels drop in the pan without too much trouble.

I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy. I never “plugged in”. My last two upgrades from my 45 year old RCBS kit scale were a Scott Parker tuned 10-10 and a Dandy trickler. I’m happy as a pig in mud!
