Custom Sizing Die Maker for SAUM clickers?

I have determined that my 7 SAUM clickers are due to the chamber being cut with a reamer that is the min saami spec at the 200 line. The Forster fls die and cortina expander die basically don't move the brass at the .200 line. At most its being moved .0005. This is probably made worse by the adg brass being very hard. I would like to send the fired brass and reamer print and get a die made.

I saw on a Hornady podcast that they offer this service. Would Hornady be sufficient or should I look elsewhere?

Custom die may not solve your problem not always will I.E. PRC, opening up the back end sounds like the solution.
Finding the smith that has the correct reamer and setting the barrel back might well be cheaper in the long run.

That would be a huge pia compared to a die.
Not if the die doesn't work. Brass will only size back so far at the web especially the brass you currently are shooting.
Many tried the die thing with the PRC's and failed.
Polishing out the back is another option.

I hear you. I just don't even have it in me to pull the barrel and deal with it this season. Already had the joy of chasing my tail since September due to a defective scope.

I only have like 32 cases that have been fired. 12 of them 8 firings and the rest 2 firings. I know I may not be able to save those cases, but thats fine. Im hoping if I start with a tighter die on the remaining 100+ new pieces I won't have a problem.

Be easier if there was a smith I trusted near me.

I've had great luck with whidden making my custom wildcat dies, both bushing and micrometer seaters. Just call and talk with them on your needs! Bill

Talk to @DaveTooley. He fixed my clicker problem very fast.

Before us old guys had computers and the internet, if you lived in an area without any formal shooting competition that would provide contact with others like I do, you were pretty much on your own to figure out problems. Didn't stop us from experimenting in the least.

When we ran into clickers the usual fix was to open up the rear of the chamber a little, test, and if they continued, open up a little more until they stopped. A couple of those chambers are still performing perfectly 50 years after the modification.

I run a SAUM with ADG brass. I’m curious what powder, bullet and charge weight you were using.

I established my own reamer and changed the dimension at the 200 line to 0.5520. SAAMI is 0.5510. This is the secret sauce.

I have 1000 cases. All have been fired once. Most have been fired twice. All with 62.0 - 63.0 grains of H1000 and a 180 Hybrid without a single clicker or heavy bolt lift to speak of.
