Custom Savage prefit?

Looking to get a new barrel for my Savage TA. Are there any gunsmiths out there that will make a prefit using a barrel that I supply without me sending them the action in 6 br or 6 x 47 lapua ( haven't decided yet). This will allow me to keep shooting the gun as it is setup while I wait for new barrel to be chambered.

A Savage "prefit" will fit any action that has the same shank size. (large or small) Threaded, chambered and ready to screw on. Set the headspace and go shooting.
Better to get one the way "YOU" want it, not an off the shelf chambered barrel.
Nothing worse than a chamber cut with the throat too long for the bullets you planned to shoot.
Dummy round set up with the bullet of your choice, seated to the shoulder neck junction. That way, as the throat wears, (and it will, sometimes sooner than you want) you can go to heavier bullets and still be able to jam to the lands.
My first Shilen was long throated for heavier bullets. Didn't last long for the bullets I planned to shoot. (not enough bullet in the neck for my liking) Deadly accurate with heavier bullets.
Sold it to someone that was shooting heavy bullets and they loved it. 8) Plan ahead and get what "YOU" want.

Call David Bruno in PA. He chambered my 6MM Competiton Match for my Savage. I know that he chambers the 6BR and the 6x47 alot.

This is exactly what I want to do! Send my barrel blank to a gunsmith and get it threaded and chambered for the Savage TA. I just don't want to loose my action for months while it gets fitted to the barrel. So I guess it is kind of a custom prefit. I am looking for a smith who will do this for me without having to send the action to him.
