Custom Savage 12FV - Criterion .223 7-Twist Barrel in B&C Stock Inlet by CDI

Just swapped out the factory barrel for the 1 in 7" twist Criterion 28" in .223 from Northland Shooters Supply. Really love this barrel. Groups 75 grain bullets at 1/2 MOA. Running the Hornady ELD-Match at 2950 FPS.

What barrel contour is that ?

He indicated this was MTU in another thread. In Criterion, that means 0.920@ 28" in a standard (small) shank.

My tooling comes tomorrow and I'll have my new CBI installed shortly. Not that I'll get to shoot any time soon, but still....

It's on. Headspace seems about ideal, closes on the go, won't close on no-go, and won't close on the go with a layer of cellophane tape on the back. (2.5 thou I think it's the tape thickness).
Saami allows 0.010" headspace variation. I'm tighter than 2.5, so feeling pretty good about that.
