Thats a mcmillan br stock. Looks like you did well inheriting that rig. Youll make him proud! That 224 clark is a barrel burning sob but i wouldnt worry about it. Id replace it when it needs it with the same thing. I have a 224tth and a 22/243 middlestead so im in almost the exact same boat there. Barrels are consumables. Nice rig id shoot the hell out of it!

That is a nice rifle built with top shelf parts. No worries about pinning that single shot tray in place, looks like a pro job. Make him proud, dust off the Leupold 24x and get your ground hog at 1215 yds.

Shoot it, enjoy it, think good thoughts about your dad while you shoot it. When its time for a barrel, i have a practice i used on a 7RUM. I called Col Billy and told him i wanted my 7 to have a new barrel, and i sent the gun to him and had Bartlein send the barrels right to Col Billy. Yea I figured that the RUM would be rough on a barrel so i had him chamber 2 while he had the rifle. When the first is toast, no down time #2 is in the safe waiting it's turn.
