Whipped up a new safety for a No.1 I'm working on. Need to clean it up a little and blue it still. I'll post pictures of the rifle once it's done.

Did you do the blue/heat treat on the metal bits?

I had C. Sharps do their potassium cyanide color case on them. I rust blued everything else to help match the sheen of the color.

I really am stunned by this one. I would love to know any other details you'd be willing to share. I don't often get excited about something pretty but when I do, I can't stop admiring it. I guess that's true love?

Dishwashers are utility. Posthole diggers are utility. AR's are utility.

Single shot (and double) rifles are the ultimate in firearms beauty. Their large sides provide a blank canvas for an engravers art. I have a Borchardt out being engraved. I will have to post pictures when it gets back. Then we can talk about gorgeous swirl figured walnut stocks. And rust bluing...
