I would like a list of companies/people who make custom rifle rest. Something that holds a 50#+ rilfe. I have bald eagles and sinclairs looking for something with a bigger center post.
Thanks

I did some extensive searching for the perfect 1000 yard front rifle rest last year, I bought a Ken Fulgham rest from Randolph Machine, the JJ was also right at the top of my list but if I was going to shoot a rifle is heavy as that I would go for the Viper also, not the one Quinc pictured but the monster rest probably!

SEB MAX, state of the art. With counterweight in front, it will hold a 100-pounder.

Boy Paul I didn't know Ernie made one that big, it's a beauty! I want to try one of his joystick rests one day soon.

You need to talk to Bob Pastor at "Viper Rest" about his "Heavy Gun" rest. He will build it to hold any weight rifle you would ever put on it. Here is a picture and you can follow Bozo's link to his web-site.

And he is a really nice and helpful guy to talk to, answered every question I threw at him.

He will work with you and help design then build whatever you want with a relatively short wait time.

Bob Pastor's web site

He has made rest weight up to 190 lbs. Quality work. Will customize it to your specifications.

Just had a rest built by Bob , I'm very happy with craftsmanship , quality , time frame and overall product . The man strives to make his customers happy . Cant ask for anymore than that. I think this rest weighed in at 40 lbs

That's a nice rest :)

Is the windage adjustment on the side of the top? How much windage travel does it have?

Big It is no windage adjustment on this rest .Bob will make the bottom part of the rest to accomadate just about any rest top you have that you would like to use tho . With me as I stated I wanted a rest that was very simple in design that was functional where I didn't have to worry about "any"" movement . Give Bob a call I'm sure he can direct you in the right direction .

I see. I really like the bulk of that base. So if he could modify it for any windage top, I suppose a person could have his cake and eat it too ;)

Of course I suppose that if a person got it set up close enough to center of target without a windage top, they could just use their scope for windage adjustments.

Big DMT,

Now your cooking with gas. That's exactly how you use the rest and that's why you don't need a windage top. Remember, "If something can move, It Will", especially during recoil as your rifle torques to the left as the bullets exits.

Good point ;)
