Custom rifle build??

With the 6MM AI pushing 55 gr Blitzking at close to 4300 fps I hold on fur out to 450 yds. The 22-6 MM AI pushing a 50 gr Blitzking at close to 4370 fps and hold on fur to shy of 500 yds.

I don't know if the Catbird can push a 55 gr any faster than 6 MM AI.

I know it’s been done a lot, but a 6.5-06. I personally believe the best weight to diameter bullets are .264. Of course, if your caliber’s current bullets are too light, wait a day or two and a newer, better, heavier one will be introduced.

I just bought a old Remington 700 30-06 barreled action. I'm looking to build another rifles but what. I have two 6.5 x 284. A Remington 260, a 6MM AI a 22 - 6MM AI. Just can't think of a good caliber to build.

Was thinking a 6MM X 284.
25-06 gets the nod but the 25-284 is one I just finished. The newer heavy bullets make a great option for LR use. Still plenty of lighter bullets also for that caliber. Another great option is a .280. The standard 284 win is also another great cartridge and my favorite for building a wildcat on.
