A mandrel is not a great solution for donuts, you will get inconsistent results depending on the ductility of each brass piece. Your best bet is either push your throat out like Alex said for single-shot applications or to neck turn your brass. I recommend neck turning because it is standard tooling many reloaders have. Be sure to get a cutter that matches your cartridge shoulder angle and then turn into the shoulder. Done properly, the donuts will not re-appear. You don't need to turn the necks, just get the cutter to take a very light pass on the neck but cut into the shoulder. You'll see the donut getting cut away.Could you message me Neil Jones info? I've never heard of him. Where's he from?
