Sierra uses multiple presses and they all fall into the same bucket, so you will usually find 2 or 3 different lots in a single box of their "match" bullets. If they listened to me years back that would be fixed by now.
Pick any that are NOT Sierra and try 'em... maybe Sierra will get the hint if we all stop using 'em! I have! I use Lapua's now myself, not sorting needed! I checked ogive lengths on over 100 Lapua's and they were all the same, + or - a 1 thou using Davidson nose pc on calipers. I found a pic of Buhay Ogive checker in the Hart catalog... I'd like to try some of Randy's 95 FB but that is paperwork now thanks to the border. I'm in Canada eh.
I also think a 1 to 2 thou difference in ogive length at 1000 yds is dick compared to the differences in wind, hold, sight picture,light vs cloud), mirage, etc and your time is better spent shooting vs measuring bullets in the basement
but a 13 thou difference will show in the target at 1000 yds IMO.

I love the SMK's and win with them at 1K. Does not matter what bullet you use they still have to be measured and sorted--I use the Buhay tool.
I have been, using the Lapua's right out of the box... and winning my share too at 300-1000 yds in F Class, nine 1st's, three 2nd's and two 3rd's and one 4th place in the 7 two to three day matches I shoot in this year.
A custom bullet maker showed me once that you can put 5 bullets, each weighting 1.0g more than the last, into a nice little .1" group at 100 yds so weight differences does not matter IMO. The base is the important part he said for FB bullets, VLD's, he had no idea since he only made FB bullets.
