Oh my, so many opinions! I sold a rifle last fall. A rifle I didn't really spend that much time with, but I try to keep my competition rifle inventory (ARA UL and IR50/50 3-gun) at 6 rifles. 2-UL guns, 2-10.5lb guns and 2-Sporters. Another UL rifle was coming into the inventory and something had to go.
A new guy bought it and spent some time with it. He never shot the rifle before purchase. It had a good low round count barrel on it and that wasn't replaced. He beat me last weekend shooting that rifle. He spent the time with the rifle, I didn't.
Point is this, there are tons of very good rifles that come up for sale in the RFBR niche market that are real sleepers. I do not subscribe to some of the opinions posted here. My experience on just one rifle kind of validates that, and there are hundreds of other sales over the years that will support it as well. JME

Scott, Like I said base it off who is selling. if you were selling, I am sure I will know exactly what I was buying.Oh my, so many opinions! I sold a rifle last fall. Getting to shoot it is the best way to buy, like buying a car test drive it first. If I was giving advice on buying a rifle, I would say shoot it first. If you have to travel to do it or meet the seller. If the seller won't agree or the logistics keep you from shooting it, pass on it and keep looking. We have never sold any of our rifles but if we decided to sell one I would be adamant on the buyer coming to shoot it first.

What only one group? Here is a 10 shot group I shot with my 22 at 600 yards, shot standing on one leg shooting backwards using a mirror to aim with Remington Thunderbolt ammo after
running 2 miles and 100 pushups.
