Current rules and recommendations for shipping firearms

Seems like the rules on this are always changing. I live part of the year in Michigan and part of the year in Arizona. I usually fly between the two places but I need a way to get multiple guns from one place to the other and it seems that I remember it being legal to ship guns to yourself? What is the best way to do this and what it the best carrier to do it by?

Hopefully these will help:

Unless you live in the U P it is a 2 day drive--you need a car in Arizona anyway so load it up and go.
You are most likely retired anyway so what is a 2 day drive-will probably be cheaper than shipping and you can carry you ammo with you.
I can only imagine shipping costs since I looked into shipping golf clubs from Va. to Phoenix No way would I pay $200+ for one set of clubs--just pay United the $35 or fly SW (if they don't screw the pooch and fire pilots and crew because of FJB vaccine mandate)
Seems like that if you are fit enough to shoot multiple weapons you should be able to drive the trip.
Just my humble opinion
