Crowd sourced load development

From velocity graph if you were looking for higher end node I probably would try 54.5 and start seater. Some longer some shorter than test. I get a lot of 2 connected one off deals that i can sometimes tighten up good with abit of seat depth changes. I have also found sometimes tight es and sd don’t necessarily mean good groups with seating. Lol. Im just a novice tho.

I thought people here might enjoy seeing (and possibly participating) in my new group consensus load development series.

Load development by group consensus Part 1 Powder Charges
Sorry but this data is skewed because you failed to even remotely perform testing correctly.
Is this supposed to be a Ladder test, OCW, other?
You obviously need help!
Maybe you just need to buy some more reloading gear.
;):cool::D:eek:
Hope you know I'm kidding!
Very novel idea and it's gone a be interesting to see how things work out.
Keeping my ideas to myself though.

Only 54.4g and 54.6g (and even 54.8g to some degree) show consistent POI. It seems intuitive that a velocity and POI “node” should fall between 54.4 and 54.6.
Therefore, I’d select 54.5g and proceed with seating depth test. Personally, my methodology is to conduct all powder charge testing at JAM minus .010”. I’m not sure what your seating depth was for your powder charge weight testing, but for seating depth testing I always work in .003” increments, starting at JAM and working back to “JAM minus .030” (11 total groups, and I load 4 at each seating depth and in groups starting from JAM). I will be interested to see how you conduct your testing.
