Creating a new powder list in QL?

I know that some where and I thought it was on this site. There were instructions on how to create a new powder list, so you can eliminate powders that are not available. I think you use notepad to do it. If anyone could tell me how it's done or point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. ......................Thanks Chuck

The powder file is in C:\BIN\Quickload\data\powders. The filename is qloadfw.pro. Right click on the file - select edit and notepad will open it. Save it as some other name first thing. Remember the .pro extension.

Delete out what you don't want (the whole line per powder) and hit save. Then start up QL and pick your new powder file.

I could also create a new powder file by cutting out and pasting only the powders I have in stock, right?

thanks

Do not edit the original file. Copy it to a new name and edit that one. Both will show up in the QL selection list.

When you "save as" in Notepad it closes the original file and leaves the new one open. Nothing wrong with what I said, if done as I said. Stupid crap like this is why I always regret posting.

Thanks for the help, will follow your instructions, spook, I did it years ago but forgot exactly how I did it, thanks for pointing me in the right direction, it's all coming back to me now................Chuckhunter
