How to make a new powder file/QL??

I just updated my QL data to day, they have added lots of new cases and some new powders/bullets etc. I am going to spend some time looking everything over.

Does anyone KNOW how to make a new powder file?

I need to get rid of those foreign powders we have no access to. I would greatly appreciate the info.

Tia,
Don

The file format is documented toward the end of "ql_eng.pdf." This can be found in something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickLOAD". The data file is found in something like "C:\Users\Public\Documents\QuickLOAD\data\powders" and is "qloadfw.pro." Copy that file to a new name in the same directory. I use "powder-1.pro." Open the file with a text editor like Notepad and eliminate the lines you do not want. Only work on the copied file. Do not modify the original file. [br]
If you have any questions about the above, post here. I've altered every data file that QL has for various reasons and already made the mistakes so that you don't need to make them. ;)

I do exactly as Steve mentioned labeling the new powder file "domestic". Then I go one step further, eliminating shotgun and pistol powders, naming that one "domestic-rifle".
