Cost to convert Leupold scope to target knobs???

Leupold makes knobs that go onto the hunting turrets and turns into target turrets. I have a pair i bought for my oooold 6.5x20 but they dont work. Any modern scope they work on and look nice

check the leupold site for custom shop info.

I did their sight sucks!! I could find nothing on the change over for prices. I was also looking for the S1 knob they make to install yourself and all i could find was "Custom engraved" dials...

I bought a couple of vx-6 cds scopes a few years ago. Used the cds coupon to get the target knobs instead of the yardage dials. No additional cost.

About 6 months ago I had a 6.5x20 that had an elevation target knob but windage knob was not. Sent it to Leupold and they charged me $75.00 plus shipping.

Just an FYI. I called Leupold last year about changing my 4.5-15x50 VX3 LR turrets out to the M1 turrets like on the Mark 4 scopes. The price was 135.00. Just called last week and the "New Price" is 250.00. Prices have gone up fellas. I of course declined the upgrade.

I just recently went through this. I had to call the custom shop to get prices. The price they quoted me was way more than what I had been hearing from other people. I believe it was 250 that they quoted me. I then found out about the s1 dials and called the custom shop back and asked about them. They are $75 each shipped. They were easy to install too. The only bad thing is they are not stocked and they make them when you order them so it takes a while to get them. If you want pics or have any other questions just ask.

I emailed them about changing reticle in a couple Vari-X III's about a month ago. They want $200 for each scope. Holly crap. IIRC the VariX or whatever was in between and VX-3 were less. Don't know why the older ones are so much more expensive? Anyway be darned if I am going to pay over half of what I paid for scopes to get a dot.

They quoted me $225 for the two turrets.

....Dale,
We can install target dials on that scope. You would need to send it in to have this work performed. The cost would be $150 plus tax for just the elevation or $225 plus tax for elevation and windage.

Not only does their site suck, their service and products suck worse. I have a $1699.00 scope there for 5 weeks now that was defective right out of the box. I have called them twice and they are the rudest customer service personnel I have ever dealt with. I have owned a lot of Leupold scopes, but will never buy another one. Good luck on getting anything done with that outfit.
