Cooper TRP3

Any owners here? I see someone here sold one in the marketplace that I would have bought, good price and the guy was only 10 miles from me. Timing is everything. I think this is just what I'm looking for. I currently own a Savage TRR-SR which shoot pretty well. I will be shooting primarily 50-100 Yd BR. Also any other recommendations for a good single shot rimfire rifle? I'd like to keep it at around $2k. By the way Cooper told me 8-10 month to order new. I've also considered upgrading my Savage, by installing a 3" BR stock and seeing how that goes. I do have a good front rest and rear bag. If I sound like a rooky it's probably because I am. Thanks in advance.

Some of them are competitive, majority of them for club level only.
If this is something you are semi -serious about you would be better served with a low milage custom, used BR rig.
One or two fine ones now on RA site, a bit above your price, but with a little negotiating will get you close.
Likely far cheaper in the long run.
If I needed one , I would be all over the Brock turbo, over there...... owned by a top shooter, less than a case thru the pipe.

That Turbo was beautiful, but it appears to be sold.

Missed by two days.
They are out there, however, and now that season is ending, there will be more.
Just be patient.

I've shot a Cooper & against many others at a club up here in ME. A local dealer has them is why. All have had their barrels massaged by him or many have been replaced.
I'm not going to knock them as they do shoot well but there is some potential downsides. The lack of a decent closing cam, the minuscule locking lugs, & being limited to one aftermarket trigger (Jard). I personally didn't care for the ripple finish on the stock although I'm not sure it ever handicapped me.
The other is that anyone looking to get into rfbr in general is looking for a custom rig so resale may be slow unless you want to take a bit of a hit.
I agree with Tim, you'd be better served with a used custom.

Thanks for the link. I actually saw that earlier this morning. For me the stock is very important. That particular one doesn't do it for me. I realize stocks can be very expensive. I'm in no hurry, won't need till spring. I'm in FL. for the winter and no BR anywhere near me.

Although I sent you a msg, don’t get all that caught up in stock colors.
That Meredith TMBR stock is as good as it gets for BR, Tom is probably the best bedding guy on the planet. FWIW it looks a lot better in person.
I’ve got three done by him.
You can actually get it sprayed economically with tinted clear urethane to give it some pop down the road.
