Exactly right. The guys with the good shooting varmint specials or the small barrel deer rifles need a spot and the owners need to be encouraged to keep going in the sportIt is what it is. Factory is the toughest class to police and set rules for that everyone can agree on..for the most part and it can be the most expensive class, if someone actually plans to compete at the top of the class. That's because you can spend a lot of money buying and selling factory rifles before you stumble upon a truly good one.
JMHO, but we need a factory class and it should be promoted, along with rules that allow most anyone to bring their factory rifle to a match and get involved in the sport before dropping $5k on a new build just to try the game. UBR has a pretty strong factory class group of shooters and many who started there have stayed in it and moved up after building or buying better equipment.
We can't fuss about attendance if we make it hard for new people to even try it.
