Cooper actions in competition

Hi everyone,

I've been looking around for actions to use for building a 6mm BR 300-meter free rifle. I have a Shilen BP-S but I am not so keen about the wide rotation of the bolt handle when opening -- it's hard to position the rear sight low enough over the boreline.

I am curious about actions with 3 and 4-lugged bolts. The RPA Quadlite looks like a good action except the receiver is really long and I want to minimize the distance of the muzzle from my center of mass as much as possible. It just makes sense to minimize the receiver length anyway. Cooper makes a 6.6" action with three lugs and it looks like a good candidate. Does anyone have experience with these?

browning has 60o throw, but I think the Browning trigger is hard to adjust also the action is difficult to bed
