Forum Boss: We appreciate EVERY donation, no matter how large or small. But we recommend that you do either a Silver or Gold upgrade, using the Big Yellow "Upgrade Membership" button. That works faster than a plain donation.

That works automatically, and (normally) the Silver or Gold memberships starts within a minute or so. Also the database is updated with your membership time period.

When you just do a plain donation (as opposed to an upgrade), we have to find your email, verify the donation, and upgrade your account manually. Yes that can take a few days.

Just an FYI, not sure your "auto member updating thingy" works as I did another $50 a couple weeks back and mine still says "silver"....of course, I could have messed up and failed to do something else I needed to do.
