I think he meant those things are SR specific as opposed to Match Rifle.I thought scopes were legal for leg matches and for P100? Your message seems to imply only irons are legal for leg matches and P100.

Take either one of the ARs and shoot those under match rifle.it's as easy as that. If you are feeling like a bolt gun the MPA chassis will work.also, get a match rifle sling from Creedmoor sports or champions choice and go from there.I have 2 AR's, one is an old SP-1 the mid 70's and a new Savage MSR15. My PRS trainer in .223 is in a MPA Chassis with a straight 12x on it. Will anyone of these work? My eyes aren't so good, I was born with a detached retina in my left eye, and my right is in need of a corrective lens. Before I started this thread I took my 10/22 and ran it at 50 yards to see how I would handle the positions. Brought back my childhood memories, very enjoyable. I have watched some videos and read a little in the past. My buddy is coming over today for Thanksgiving and we are going to practice .22 in standing, sitting, prone. Keep the information coming, it is much appreciated.

XTC,
At 59 years old I'm considering taking up another form of shooting. What say you, to those that shoot this discipline?

In ftr I occasionally drop points by being lazy and accepting a less than solid dead center hold to pull.
Shooting sling prone I'd be there forever waiting for that hold. So I can reinforce a bad habit if I'm not very attentive when switching back.
