Cone bolt vs flat face bolt

Educate me.
Is one better than another? the function of each, single shot application .Preferences. Mostly will be used from the bench.

Thanks

Main benefit of a coned breech is better feeding in a single shot action. The coned bolt nose can cause feed problems in a repeater, though.

Does a flat face provide more protection in case of a ruptured cartridge ? Is there more support of the case head in the flat face ? Thanks

Depends on the design. The Remington "3 rings of steel" is hard to beat in that regard. Savage uses a baffle on the bolt..etc.
