Cone angle of a Bernard P?

This is a response I got from Barnard when I asked them about it a few years ago:

The Barrel chambering drawing on the website needs to be changed to 25 degrees, the original 20 degree angle is also correct but has not got the indication of a countersink. The 30 degree barrel chamber is ok for a 308 case although I would not suggest using this angle. Case Rim protrusion is of course the main concern with this, I would suggest using a 25 degree angle.

I wouldn't personally worry about using a 30deg. The main thing is to hold your bolt nose clearance.

re: that reply from Barnard, What a bunch of technical bloviating. "It should be 25 instead of 20 but 20 is ok or on a 308, 30 is ok but better to use a 25". "Indication of a countersink"??? How about just saying what is required to match the bolt. Good grief, the stuff you read on the web. Anyhoo, it was good for a laugh. :p:D Thanks for sharing, Jay.
