concentricity gauge/neck trimmer

How many of you guys use a neck trimmer of some sort and check things out with a concentricity gauge?

It's a couple items I don't have yet and I'm wondering once I get started reloading in the next several weeks I'll wish I had?

I've made my mind up that if I do get a concentricity gauge I'll get a sinclair but I'd like to know what you guys are using for neck trimmers? The sinclair one is nice but $200.

Anybody using the RCBS case neck turner w/auto feed with their trim pro case trimmer? Results?

You have great timing...I just gave a Lyman away. I saw it in graffs for $100 last sat. It will work. The sinclare is a good trimmer but slow to use. There is a trimmer thread somewhere near here. You don't have to buy new if you watch for sale >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I have a Forster case trimmer with inside and outside neck reaming accessories and a RCBS Case Master concentricity gage. It's been a long time since I used them as I'm just getting back into the game after several years absence.

If I might ask, what are you seeking or intend to do as far as reloading goes? In other words, do you intend to pursue competiiton, hunting or general reloading not geared to "Precision Reloading." The equipment you decide to buy, should be geared to your purpose in reloading. By that I mean, when I started reloading several years ago, I wanted to learn the reload for accuracy, but competition wasn't my goal. Years earlier (about a century ago now) when I was in my 20's- 30's, thats when accuarcy REALLY meant something for me, but had a partner doing my reloading. And he had top notch equipment back then and our targets showed his talents. But when I started reloading, I went out and bought a nice Lyman Universal trimmer that recently, I too gave away because I found there were much better trimmers to be bought that have mics on them to insure precise trimming. I ended up with a Redding 2400 which is not as good as a Giraud or the Wilson. But my trimmer works good enough for me and produces reliable and accurate trimming. So figure out what you seeks and buy accordingly to avoid having to rebuy your equipment, something I'm an expert at as well as a complete waste of money, not to mention effort and time. Good luck and have fun with whatever you decide to buy.

I'm intending to load for the most accurate ammo I can produce on my own and do some competitive shooting with it.

the best case trimmer made is a Wilson, and can often be bnought fairly cheap on Ebay. Sinclair sells a bunch of upgrades for it. The trimmer cuts extremely square, and repeats extremely well

I really like the World's Finest Trimmer for use with my 6.5x47 cases. Indexes off the shoulder which is what I wanted. I am very pleased with their trimmer.
