Most of the long precision shooters I know don't bother measuring it anymore since they haven't seen any benefit on target.
The one issue they seem to agree upon is consistent neck tension.
As for me, I'm only a varmint / predator / deer hunter shooting at modest ranges so I don't measure it anymore - I did for a while using a friend's device more out of curiosity. Can't remember the brand or numbers I got but it didn't seem to matter on target for me either.
In my humble opinion, it comes down to defining the degree of precision you need for the discipline you are shooting and whether expanding the reloading process / equipment can make any significant improvement beyond what is needed.
