Component Availability?

What is the current cost & availability of components. Have seen primers on the internet for $60 but have not tried ordering. Are they really there? Bullets seem generally available & have not looked into powder.

I know that no one has a crystal ball, but, do you think that a year from now things will be more available & not as costly? Or, if I don't built stock up now I will be sorry.

Watch for scammers... If vendors show stock and only take crypto currency do your homework before you send funds

My thought is that we're still in a demand 'bubble' driven by a big ramp up in gun ownership and stock accumulation to hedge against potential increased controls on ammunition. At some point both of these drivers will come down a bit. At the same time, reloading component mfg's will be assessing the long term demand and adjust their capacities to meet it.

My reasonably uneducated guess is the demand bubble will have settled within the next 6-12 months; mfg's will assess the long term demand within the next year and, if appropriate, add capacity within the next 18 months - i.e., 2 1/2 year from now [my guess at how long it takes to add producing capacity].

My own current strategy is to accumulate enough now to maintain three years stock - buying from reputable, non price gouging vendors when stock is available. Recognizing that I have at least two years of each of the components on hand now.
If I had zero stock on hand now, I would only accumulate and maintain enough for a year with the expectation that prices will be down a bit in the next 9-12 months.

Is there still any chatter about Biden’s bunch trying to shut internet sales down? I don’t keep up with the current news on his propagenda.

It was about 8 weeks ago.
Got a ping through the primerprimer app. Got 2 bricks.

Eta: Sorry, I took the pic of the invoice down - didn't realize all the personal info in it.

cci 450's are now $80/brick. The $124.99 are for BR4s

Just after jelenko got those cases - Brownell's switched to 2 brick limit.

Prices will not come to normal until the Democrats no longer control Congress, the Senate and the Presidency. Or the "Progressives" stop talking about defunding the police and encouraging BLM and antifa riots. So if you can hold out until then, great; otherwise pay the piper for the outrageous prices or take another hobby like archery. OR get involved in local politics like the school board to turn this fubar slowly around.
