Compiling a list of calibers for AR build

Ok, this is the scoop on what i am doing and need some help from you guys. I bought some stuff lately for a bolt action build that i was going to do down the road and sold the stuff to pursue a different type build. I have had quite a few AR,s from different makers through the years. I have for some time wanted to collect parts for a build like i would for a bolt rifle. I got in on a group buy and will be getting a billet upper and lower and a rail some time down the road that Seekins make. I am pretty sure i will end up getting a comeplete bolt carrier group from Les Baer as i think it is probly good stuff. All AR,s i had in the past where 223s and i want to do something different. I will be using it as its main function for varmint hunting and taking it to the club and maybe enter some type of match with it. The platform will be on the AR15 and not the 308 platform. I just started to do a little research and would like to know what calibers can i do on this platform. I see their seems to be alot that can be done to these now days and shoot reliable. As of now i am open to all calibers but nothing under 20 cal. I see a member here Mr. Whitley builds some neat stuff and is top notch and seems to have a vast knowledge of these type builds. So for you guys, start throwing me some info on what is available and can be done on the AR15 platform. If you own and are shooting some of these different type calibers let me know what it is and how you like it and who did the build for you. And hey, you are more than welcome to take a picture of it and show it to me if you want. ;D

I've got a Grendel and an 8 twist 223. Both are very accurate. But if I had to buy another one it would be the 6mm ar. Thought about a 6x45 but that Grendel case is probably more efficient.

Yea, the 6mm ar has sparked my interest and want to find out what bullet weights and velocities people are getting out of their barrels. It is amazing at to what kind of accuracy people are getting out of these builds.

I would def go with a 6mmAR for my next AR build. Or a 6x45 for doing matches with steel plates that have to be nocked over just for the added oomph.

I'm yearning to get a .20 Practical upper for my ARs. It will be the AR-GSX (Ground Squirrel X-terminator)!

Robert Whitley's .20 Practical uppers have shown outstanding accuracy with affordable varmint bullets.

For High Power target stuff -- both the 6mmAR and the 6.5 Grendel are very good.

If you don't mind messing with brass all the WSSMs are available on Ar platforms......I have a 6.5-243wssm that I like a lot. It is pretty comparable to the 260 remington. I have a friend that has a straight .243wssm from olympic arms that shoots into a good honest .6 moa without much load developement.
