A pal came down so we could take his 3 6.5s to the range and make all the dial ups & holdovers to 1000 yards. That done he ran his new Thompson Center Compass rifle in .204, 22" bbl, Weaver scoped, to 500 yards as well making notes on hold over via his reticle and dial ups.
This rig cost him under $250. I was surprised at how both the 32g varmageddons and his 46g custom bullets went into the same spots. Both are handloads, loaded with 25g 10x. The barrel got a tad hot and of course the last round was a tad high making it .550" tall by .516" wide C-C.
