commpressed loads

i am shooting a 6mmppc with lapua 220 russian brass fireformed to 6mmppc.i am shooting a 70 grain nosler ballistic tip with 28.8 grains of n133 powder.when i fill the case and tap it the powder settles about a third of the way up the neck i. when i seat the bullet i get a very slight crunch.this load shoots great and there are no signs of excess pressure.is it ok to continue using it.thanks.

1/3 up the neck is a very common top-end load among Benchrest shooters. Some go with even more powder using a very long drop tube to get it all in the case. If it shoots good don't worry about it. Compressed loads are common in both target and hunting calibers.

BTW, if you're compressing powder at that height you are seating your bullets a bit deeper than most 6PPC loads. Most will be seated to the lands which ends up about 1/2 to 1/3 in the neck.
