Just picked up a Savage 110 rifle (#57008 Tactical Desert) and am considering getting an Atlas BT65 bipod for the thing.
Any caveats, comments, suggestions?
And, does anyone know the specific type of screws (threading, pitch, length) I'd be needing to mount this onto the stock (at the sling stud holes)? Can't imagine there are many issues with the Atlas bipods, but I'm open to any experience with these you might have.
Intended use: occasional varminting, and target shooting out to 600yds.

- Bipod -- Atlas BT65-LW17 CAL Gen2, with the ADM-170-S lever lock, without the panning feature.
- Rail -- Atlas BT15 3.35" 1913 BT15 picatinny rail (hole spacing 1.76" - 2.78"), mounted under the foreend of the stock.
- Screws -- Uncertain about these. Cap screws, 10-32 x 3/4", perhaps? Don't know the exact type, threading/pitch, length, yet. (The rifle has two sling studs, at ~2.5" hole spacing.)
