Colorado prairie dog hunting issue

Bullets blow right through little prairie dogs. Some copper jacket shreds may stay in the carcass but a lead core most always passes through near instantly.

Scavangers would have to dig in the ground to find and consume lead particles. Silly talk by someone knowing little about shooting them.

They don't mention anything about the front range prairie dogs that they have displaced with the expansion of the Denver Metropolitan area. I would bet money many were illegally hauled up to Wyoming and dumped as I see prairie dogs now where I have never seen them.

I've killed a LOT of Rockchucks over the last 47+ years here in Idaho. Never any shortages the next year hunting the same colonies the next year.

Ranchers in SE Colorado say that PD's are being dumped in their area from eastward expansion of the front range cities.
