Colorado house passed this

House passage of the bills below should be a wake-up call to everyone across this diverse and freedom-loving state. Your rights are under an all-out assault by those who see you and your way of life as a problem that needs to be fixed.

House Bill 1224 – Bans magazines with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds. (Passed 34-31)

House Bill 1226 – Repeals current law allowing individuals with a concealed carry permit to carry a firearm for self-defense on a college or university campus. (Passed 34-31)

House Bill 1228 – Imposes a “gun tax” for a background check when purchasing a firearm. (Passed 33-32)

House Bill 1229 – Criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm. (Passed 36-29)

The votes taken today by those House members in favor of these bills will put hundreds out of work in Colorado, eliminate hundreds of millions of dollars in economic activity that will go to other states and make criminals out of unsuspecting law-abiding citizens.

Our fight is far from over, as this extreme anti-gun legislation still has to pass in the state Senate and then go to Governor Hickenlooper for his signature.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY! Call your state Senator and Governor John Hickenlooper TODAY and respectfully urge them to oppose the anti-gun bills above. Hold your state Senator accountable and ask him or her how they will vote on these bills.

They probably don't realize the unintended consequences. Hunting is a huge part of their economy and many hunters are also avid gun enthusiast. If i am deciding where to hunt and it comes down to a few states, I will pick the gun friendly states every time.

I for one will NOT hold the law abiding gun owners hostage due to the fools who want to pass this crap. I will continue to hunt in Colorado, give them my support, and visit friends who live there. I have to put up with this same kind of treatment in Ca. Continue to boycott other states, don't support your brothers in arms, and wait for the smoke to clear. By the time you see through it, you won't have many people remaining willing to support YOU!

Magpul moving to Texas...

Maybe we can get all the manufacturers to move to Texas and Oklahoma... Then we can succeed, invade Mexico for the chicks and beaches...

Boy ain't that the truth. If you drive hwy 82 in N Tx a lot, you pretty much need a steam locomotive cow-catcher style bumper.

It's pretty scary that an "outdoors" state like Colorado can pass laws like that. It would it appear that it's "Liberals 34, Common Sense 31". Sure hope the Senate can stop it and that sportsmen in Colorado can step up and talk to the House.

Yep, i like your way of thinking. You also need some good booze to go along with the chicks and beaches ;D

Think about it! This is the same state that just legalized pot in the last presidential election! Does it surprise you that they are passing "socialist" gun laws now? It doesn't surprise me!

Magpul should move North to Wyoming, the people here could use a manufacturer that employs people. Gas And Oil are good to us. but too up and down. High capacity mags. will keep us busy until The Next Civil War starts...........

Obviously there are a lot of law abiding gun owners in those states who keep electing those fools. The people in these states reap what they sew. If this stuff passes it means more than half the population either agrees with it, or don't care enough to go vote and put a stop to it. I will spend my money in the states that more than 50% of the people agree with my ideology.

Nothing against the individuals of the state, just me speaking with my wallet. If the politicians of that state never see any down sides to passing that crap it will spread to other states. However, if politicians in my state see money flying out of Colorado as a result of their actions they will think twice before trying it here. Money is one language they understand. Logic doesn't work.

Negative, Arizona is the place for Magpul! ;)

Magpul needs to move to NC. With all the illegals that everyone is concerned about, labor will not be a problem. This will solve a lot of 2A problems about high capacity mags. The chances of getting one that works will be slim and everyone will buy a Biden shotgun.

I got an email today Vail Mountain Vacations, having booked multiple ski trips through before. I politely called them and told them I had received their email, and then informed them I would not be coming back to the state of CO to vacation if their state Gov continues this assault on freedom and people rights.

I suggested she call their state Senators and advise them their business is going to be negatively impacted by this attack, and they need to reconsider immediately. I told her Jackson Hole WY is an awesome alternative, and that decisions like this have consequences for everyone, not just those directly impacted.

She stuttered for a couple minutes and then said she would inform the property owners of my call and position as a previous & repeat customer.

Good for you!!!
I normally shoot 1000 yd BR matches at Byers but I may have to reconsider if these Bills pass. I have a serious problem with supporting a state which wants to undermine my freedom. If I don't go I will call the motels which I normally stay at and inform them why I will not be there this year.

Actions have consequences.

The problem is that Colorado has been Californicated.. The liberal Cali's have been moving to Colo for decades..
And how would you know? You don't live there. Like Mark Walker in TX, I too emailed a cancellation. Mine went to the NRA. I'll stick with Calguns. Even though I am registered as an independent, you don't want gun owners from a liberal state supporting you eh?

Well If this passes I will take Colorado off my list of states to possibly move to on retirment! Got to get out of Illinois, that is for sure!
