Colorado F-class

Does anybody know of any matches in Colorado, I'd like to get started shooting in matches but I dont know of any around where I'm at. It wouldnt hurt my feelings shooting in any dicipline. Thank you guys.

I'm not sure what all they shoot at Byers. I went to one 1000 yard benchrest match there. They shoot 600 yard matches at Bailey, http://www.bcgc.com/ , but I doubt there will much more shooting there this year due to weather. I shot F-Class there earlier this year. While they did make an effort to have official F-Class targets, they were the wrong ones.
We are trying to get some prone/F-Class matches going at the Stengel range near Hotchkiss. http://friendsofbillydixon.org/index.html. Perhaps next year. They have pits with 12 firing points and 200, 300, 500, 600, 800, 900, and 1000 yard firing lines. We can also shoot steel there out to 1538 yards.
Depending on where you live, Whittington Center is not too far. They have several matches a year there.

Byers has the remembering the brave match in the spring. That is a great match for a great cause. They also have the 1000 yard benchrest like David said. They also host the Fullbore State championship around the beginning of september. If you look at the colorado rifle club website it will show a schedule for their matches. It would show you what they have on a regular basis. They had practice matches there about every month when I was living out there last year. The range in Bailey is pretty scenic, since its up in the mountains. They had the wrong targets for f-class when I was up there also. Also depending on where you live, cody wyoming has some matches that you can shoot f-class in out to 900 yards. It was around 8-9 hours from denver.

I'm from Colorado Springs so Cody is a little bit far. I might just see what Byers has for matches and try some of them out. I'm new to competive shooting and have only done a little dollar shoot thing in Divide, CO. So thank you guys for the information.

if your in the springs the whittington center is only about 2 hours south make a run down there in the spring and check it out

I shoot 1k BR in Byers but I haven't shot any other disciplines there. I had wanted to try some of the any/any matches there but haven't gotten around to it. If you want to try IBS 1K BR they should start matches in April again since we're finished for the season. If you don't have a rifle to shoot I have a LG Dasher that you could try out for a match. If you decide you want to use my equipment PM me here. I would also say check out the Whittington Ctr. in Raton. I haven't shot any matches there but the founder's cabins are a great place to stay overnight for a weekend.
