Cold Bore POI Shift After Magpul Stock Install

My pillar and glass bedded savage Axis did this last year unbeknownst to me. First cold bore shot was 7" high. Each successive shot was in the normal spot. Cost me a nice buck. Turns out my front action screw had backed off some. Re torqued them and back to normal.
Did you notice any accuracy improvements after glass bedding. You using factory stock? I think it was the torque screws. I tried mounting the action again and followed magpuls guidance on torqueing the screw closest to the barrel first. My first range session was a bit all over the place but it settled (which ive read is normal for a first couple shots in a new stock) . Second range session today, got a .8 inch 6 shot group and other groups are around 1 moa. The second shot I think must've gone through the first hole. On the second shot, I couldn't find the impact but on all other shots it was dead on with the cold bore. I guess it's possible it flew waaay off? But that just seems unlikely it would be so far off it didn't even hit the target (10+ inches on either side) then return to cold bore poi on all subsequent shots. Hopefully one more range day will settle this for sure. 20241124_160325.jpg

I've owned the gun for 6 or 7 years I suppose. It came in the hardwood stock and I used it that way for a while and it shot consistent .6 3 shot groups with minimal load work up. Bought a Boyd's laminate and had my smith pillar and bed the stock before I ever installed it and it shoots the same as the old one. It's a 270 meat gun and had a perfect record with 3 different people until last year. Oddly enough my 280 AI in an accustock did the same thing this year but luckily I caught it and re torqued the screws before I hunted with it. I'm just guessing they worked loose over time since I didn't use any loctite but I may need to. That or check the screws more often.
